International Tennis Hall of Fame Names Doner Agency of Record

DETROIT, MI--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2015) - Today, the International Tennis Hall of Fame has named full-service advertising agency Doner its agency of record. In this role, Doner will lead all creative and interactive communications, as well as consult on media planning. The partnership started immediately after Doner was awarded the assignment following a competitive review.

"It's an exciting time at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum. We're in the execution stages of a $15.7 million Capital Campaign, which will result in a brand new museum experience and significant improvements to our tennis facilities. It's the perfect time for the Hall of Fame to create awareness about our world-class facility and offerings, while communicating that we are a must-see international destination for tennis fans," said Todd Martin, CEO of the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum. "We're not only raising the awareness of our brand, but we're also enhancing the Hall of Fame's impact and presence on the international tennis community. We're glad to partner with Doner to apply their strategic insights and impactful creativity to help tell our story and elevate our brand."

Doner has a proven track record of helping to reinvigorate iconic brands, and the Hall of Fame team's determination makes this partnership a perfect fit. In addition, the agency's ability to connect brands with their consumers by delivering ideas that escalate people to action will allow the Hall of Fame to increase its relevancy and ultimately achieve its goals.

"As a passionate tennis player, parent, coach, and fan, it's an honor to apply our creative resources to such an important institution and to the sport I care about so deeply," said David DeMuth, co-CEO and President of Doner. "The International Tennis Hall of Fame is fully committed and passionate about making the Hall of Fame integral to the sport of tennis. As they continue to expand their offerings and enhance their facilities, we're confident that our strategic insights and unique ideas will push the brand to center court."

About the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum
Established in 1954, the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum is a non-profit institution dedicated to preserving the history of tennis, inspiring and encouraging junior tennis development, providing a landmark for tennis enthusiasts worldwide, and enshrining tennis heroes and heroines with the highest honor in the sport of tennis -- induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. In 1986, the International Tennis Federation, the governing body of tennis, officially recognized the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum as the sport's official Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is located in Newport, Rhode Island, USA, on a six-acre property that features an extensive museum chronicling the history of the sport and honoring the 235 Hall of Famers; 13 grass tennis courts and an indoor tennis facility that are open to the public and to a club membership; a rare Court Tennis facility; and an historic 295-seat theatre. Annually in July, the venue hosts the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships for the Van Alen Cup, an ATP World Tour event. The buildings and grounds, which were constructed in 1880 by McKim, Mead & White to serve as a social club for Newport's summer residents, are renowned for their incredible architecture and preservation. The facility was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987. In 2013, the museum became the first sports hall of fame to be honored with accreditation status from the American Alliance of Museums, which indicates that the accredited museum is operating at the highest level of museum professional standards and that it demonstrates a commitment to excellence in all that it does. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is supported by Official Partners including Rolex, Chubb Personal Insurance, EMC Corporation, Alex and Ani, Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyards, and Michelob Ultra. For information on the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum and its programs, call 401-849-3990 or visit us online at and
