Internationally Acclaimed African Children's Choir Celebrates 25th Anniversary!

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2009) - The internationally acclaimed African Children's Choir invites you to celebrate our 25th Anniversary at a special Gala in Vancouver, BC!

The evening will feature special performances by the African Children's Choir with special guests the legendary Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Queen & Solo) and Beth Nielsen Chapman, both highly acclaimed singer/songwriters.

During the evening the Choir will also present the prestigious Malaika Award - meaning 'Angel' in Swahili - to singer, songwriter, actor, and political activist, Bob Geldof for his dedicated and extraordinary commitment to the people of Africa.

For 25 years the African Children's Choir has entertained millions at community concerts and high profile events around the world. Their purpose: to shine a spotlight on Africa's most vulnerable, and to show the beauty, dignity and potential of each African child.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit the construction of the new African Children's Choir Primary School on the shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe, Uganda.
