Internet Television Provider NeuLion Penetrates New Language Vertical With IPTV Network

Swedes in North America Gain Access to Live Swedish Television Channels

PLAINVIEW, NY--(Marketwire - March 3, 2010) - Leading IPTV service provider NeuLion (TSX: NLN) and SVT World, an international television channel from the Swedish Public Service broadcaster Sveriges Television, announce a new partnership and debut of a dedicated television service for the Swedish community in the U.S. and Canada.

By partnering with NeuLion, SVT now provides a Swedish television service to the homes in a previously untapped market through its IPTV service. NeuLion delivers an end-to-end service for SVT and this is the first time SVT will be available in North America as a linear broadcast.

"NeuLion offered us the most opportunity to fit our consumers, giving them instant access to TV. As we evaluated other providers, such as satellite providers, NeuLion's solution rose to the top," said Riffa Hänninen, Head of SVT World.

With approximately 185 international television channels in approximately 55 countries, NeuLion offers a global audience the ability to stay connected through its multi-platform IPTV service.

By using an Internet connection, NeuLion's IPTV service costs less than other providers and allows its partners to get to market quicker and reach to more homes. New data from Nielsen reveals that more than 80% of Americans have a computer in their home, and of those, almost 92% have internet access, according to a detailed study on home internet access from The Nielsen Company, which reports that this number is up from 77.9% one year earlier.

"Through NeuLion's service and technology, Swedish expats can now access the best news, sports and entertainment programming from their country. We are proud to welcome SVT to our growing family of international IPTV networks," Richard N. Yelen, Vice President and Managing Director of NeuLion.

SVT plans to soon expand its service with NeuLion to other continents.
