Interset to Demo First DXL-enabled Security Analytics for Risk-Based Threat Detection at Intel Focus Security Conference

OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Oct 25, 2016) -  Interset will demonstrate the first service for advanced threat detection based on the McAfee Data Exchange (DXL), Intel's architecture for enabling an adaptive security ecosystem, at the annual FOCUS security conference in Las Vegas, Nov. 1-3. The McAfee DXL-enabled Interset platform leverages Interset's approach to risk-based threat detection with extensive, out-of-the-box analytical models and broad data-class collection and correlation to deliver unprecedented visibility into threats. With Interset, security organizations can learn:

  • What are the most likely compromised accounts or lateral movers in my organization?
  • Which are the most likely insider threats or potential data thieves?
  • What are the highest risk accounts, machines, or files?
  • Which are the top riskiest events?
  • What threats are unfolding now, and should they be prioritized and mitigated?

The DXL-enabled Interset platform will integrate with Intel products such as the McAfee Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE), McAfee Active Response (MAR), and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Cloud. McAfee DXL ensures that any DXL-enabled product can exchange relevant security and event-management data in near real time. Interset previously announced a direct connector and integration with McAfee ESM.

According to Interset CTO Stephan Jou: "Our customers tell us they're very excited about DXL because it means that any DXL-enabled product can leverage Interset security analytics to quickly understand the risk score of any user, machine, application or file. This level of coordination will mean much greater visibility into the systems and situations where attacks occur and much faster, automated detection and response."

The new DXL integration is part of Interset 5, being demonstrated for the first time in the Interset and Intel booths. Interset's booth is located in the SIA Partner Pavilion. Attendees can learn more about how Interset applies security analytics to detect and stop threats as they unfold during the session, "Cyberhunting in Action with McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (SIEM) and User Behavior Analytics" on Thurs., Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m.

FOCUS, Intel Security's annual security conference, brings together leading security specialists -- from C-level executives, directors, and mid-managers to product developers and front-line IT staff -- to exchange ideas, gain valuable knowledge to implement their security initiatives, and share real-world experiences. FOCUS will be held Tues., Nov. 1, 2016, through Thurs., Nov. 3, 2016, at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Register at focus.intelsecurity.com/focus2016/.
