Interset Doubles Customer Installations for Its Advanced User and Entity Behavior Analytics Security Solution, Relocates to Larger Offices in Ottawa

OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Jan 6, 2016) - Interset, a leader in user and entity behavior analytics security, is capping off its impressive year-long growth with a move into bigger offices to facilitate its expanding team. Customer installations in 2015 more than doubled for version 3 of Interset's machine learning-based Advanced Threat Detection Platform. Interset has repeatedly helped save millions in lost business, investigations, and remediation costs, with multiple customers reporting they stopped attempted espionage, compromised account attacks, and departing employees from steal sensitive data.

According to a Jan. 3 review in eWEEK, "Interset Applies Machine Learning to Sniff Out Stealthy Cyber-Threats" by Frank Ohlhorst, "Interset goes above and beyond the capabilities of the majority of security products on the market. By integrating machine learning with reputation scoring along with identified behavior patterns, Interset is able to counter threats as they arise, evolve and mutate into entities that were previously never seen."

In addition to increasing its customer base in key industries including life sciences, hi-tech and finance, Interset expanded its presence in the federal sector, delivering unique capabilities for protecting classified material, ITAR weapons information and critical infrastructure.

In 2015, Interset closed $10 million in funding to further develop its advanced threat detection platform. The company introduced the Interset Threat Analytics Cloud (I-TAC), a low cost of ownership, cloud-based implementation of its UEBA platform that eliminates the requirement to manage and deploy a Hadoop system and hardware. Interset also expanded partnerships in 2015, including a partnership with Perforce Software to deliver the industry's first intellectual property threat detection integrated with source code and content management. In August, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded Interset a critical machine learning patent for its approach to calculating and assigning risk to accounts, machines, files, and digital assets.

The address for Interset's new office is: 411 Legget Drive, Suite 503, Ottawa, ON K2K 3C9.
