IntraLinks Provides Hedge Fund Managers Help on Impending Regulatory Changes

Experts Discuss Strategies for Providing Transparent Communications and Safeguarding Material Information

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 23, 2009) - Today's current economic crisis and resulting political climate are driving demand for formal regulation of the hedge fund industry. Proposals to regulate hedge fund managers have been introduced in the United States and the European Union, while the Managed Funds Association has also published guidelines to help hedge funds establish better transparency and communication with investors.

In response to these trends, IntraLinks®, the leading provider of critical information exchange solutions, today launches a new podcast series featuring expert Kelli Moll, a partner at Schulte, Roth and Zabel, who advises hedge fund managers on compliance issues and registration under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. In the IntraLinks podcast series, Kelli will focus on:

-- U.S. and European Union proposed legislation and their approach to
    systemic risk
-- MFA guidelines for establishing better transparency and communication
    with investors
-- Selective disclosure of information by funds and its impact on

"Most funds share risk reports and performance data with investors. However, controlling this information and preventing it from being published by unauthorized individuals has proven to be a challenge in an increasingly online business," said Paul DiBlasi, Vice President of Product Marketing for IntraLinks. "On the other hand, sharing proprietary data on positions and leverage with regulators is completely uncharted territory for fund managers. The effort we're launching today is designed to help educate hedge fund managers on the MFA guidelines for sharing and safeguarding information with investors and aspects of the U.S. and E.U. proposals that address systemic risk."

The first installment of this podcast series is available at IntraLinks will continue this series with two more podcasts in October 2009 and an e-book later this fall.
