Intrepid Orders Equipment Allowing for Green Gas Sales

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2006 -- Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc. (OTC BB: IESV), a renewable energy company, today has ordered an approximately 700,000 dollar conditioning system to produce pipeline quality gas at the Whitesides biogas plant near Rupert, Idaho.

The system operates unattended and is skid mounted for ease of installation. The conditioning package will be shipped to arrive in early May and Intrepid will start gas sales to Intermountain Gas by the end of July. Initial sales will be small but will ramp up dramatically once the Whitesides plant completes its expansion from 2 tanks to 10 tanks within the next 6 months.

Dr. Dennis Keiser, Intrepid's President, in making the announcement stated, "We at Intrepid are on the verge of achieving a major milestone in the development of an environmentally friendly energy company with the first sales of green gas to Intermountain Gas Company. By the end of May Intrepid will become the only company to successfully produce, from animal waste, combustible gas consistent with natural gas used by residential and commercial customers. Once the expanded Whitesides plant is operational later this summer we will be the largest gas producer in the State of Idaho producing over 600,000 dollars a year of Methane production at current prices while providing substantial environmental benefit and allowing our dairy clients to expand and enhance their operations. Additionally Intrepid has acquired sufficient interim capital to allow for the continued expansion of the Whitesides biogas plant near Rupert, Idaho. The Whitesides biogas plant is on schedule for completion in September."
