Intrinsyc Technologies Corporation (TSX:ITC) ("Intrinsyc" or the "Company"), a leading provider of solutions for the development of embedded and wireless devices, today announced the availability of the Open-Q™ 8084 System on Module ("SOM") and Development Kit.

The Open-Q 8084 SOM is an ultra-small form factor module, powered by quad core CPUs running at 2.5 GHz each, with 16GB eMMC 5.0 & 3GB PoP LPDDR3 RAM on board. Although the Open-Q 8084 SOM has a compact form factor, it supports a wide variety of I/O interfaces via a 314-pin edge connector, including PCIe, SATA, HDMI, SPI, I2C and I2S. The platform also supports gigabit Ethernet (GbE) as well as multiple interfaces for MIPI CSI compliant cameras, USB2.0 and 3.0 (host and client), GPIO, and serial ports.

  • Four CPUs at 2.5 GHz each (ARM Cortex A15 Class), DSP, and GPU @ 500MHz
  • 16GB of eMMC 5.0 (up to 64GB) & 3GB PoP LPDDR3
  • Wi-Fi/BT module with dual stream Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) 2.4GHz/5GHz provides 600 Mbps throughput for more demanding media downloads and streaming over Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 4.1.

  • PMIC supporting processor and peripheral LDOs, boost regulators as well as clock management and auxiliary signals
