Intrinsyc Showcases Soleus™ at the Freescale Technology Forum

Soleus-enabled i.MX31 Platform Demonstrates How Soleus Accelerates Next-Generation Wireless Device Development

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 18, 2008) - Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX:ICS), a global wireless software solutions provider, is demonstrating Soleus ported onto a Freescale i.MX31 platform at the 2008 Freescale Technology Forum in Orlando, Florida, June 16-19, 2008. Intrinsyc ported Soleus to demonstrate how this powerful software platform enables the rapid development of next-generation consumer multimedia handsets, from connected personal navigation devices to telephony-enabled mobile digital televisions.

"We are excited to see Intrinsyc offer additional value by demonstrating how Freescale silicon and Soleus can together create a comprehensive hardware and software platform for the rapid development of compelling handheld devices," said Aaron Shagrin, Director of the Multimedia Alliances Network, Freescale Semiconductor. "The powerful Intrinsyc Soleus software platform together with the high-performance, low power i.MX31, creates a preferred choice for customers who develop mobile consumer devices."

Based on Freescale's standard Windows® Embedded CE board support package, i.MX platforms coupled with Soleus can help optimize development effort and reduce time-to-market for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of Windows Embedded CE handheld devices. The Soleus software platform enhances this offering by providing device makers with easy to use design tools, pre-certified telephony software, customizable user interface and a suite of popular voice and data applications.

"This successful application of Intrinsyc technology builds on a growing relationship between Freescale and Intrinsyc," said Mark Johnston, EVP and GM, Worldwide Sales and Business Development, Intrinsyc Software. "We continue to provide ongoing technical support to Freescale for their application processors, allowing Freescale to leverage our many years of experience with Windows Embedded CE to satisfy their customer requirements."
