Editors Note: There are three photos associated with this press release.

TANA® Shoe Care is pleased to unveil its new look, heralding new modern packaging.  The brand's evolution over the past 50 years, and the package update, reflect its long history of keeping current with fashion and footwear trends. Celebrating a passion for shoes has been the brand's long-standing motto and for good reason - it has stood the test of time and continues to transform with evolving shoe styles and shoe care needs.

Canadians have become familiar with TANA as it is the brand of choice, highly recommended with every new shoe purchase at fine shoe retailers. This practice has created a legacy of consumers who trust they have the right shoe care products to keep not only their shoes looking fabulous, but ensuring they look polished from head-to-toe as well.

The new sleek and simplified TANA packaging hosts a unique colour-coded system to help consumers choose the right shoe care application that perfectly matches their shoe type. All graphics were created to better inform consumers of the product's application and functionality.

The TANA shoe care line consists of cleaning, polishing and protecting products for shoes made of leather, suede, and many other types of materials. The line also offers products to enhance shoe comfort with a vast assortment of insoles and gel cushions.

The colour-coded shoe care categories are broken down as follows, making it really easy for consumers to determine which shoe care products, go with a particular shoe type:

  • Universal Shoe Care – Metallic Red
  • Outdoor Shoes – Spring Green
  • Sport Shoes – Turquoise Blue
  • Leather Shoes – Cranberry Red
  • Suede and Nubuck Shoes – Spiced Brown

Caring for shoes, regardless of the type, is easier than one might think. Here are some of TANA's time-honoured tips for keeping shoes looking their best:

  1. Clean & Polish – Dirt and debris can easily get embedded into leather shoes. Clean your shoes with a damp cloth and use the TANA Shine Sponge for a quick polish to revitalize leathers.
  1. Protect & Treat – Always spray shoes with TANA All Protector®, or TANA Protector for Suede and Nubuck, to create a protective barrier that repels the elements and helps shoes look their best. It is ideal to spray shoes and boots before the first use, and on a regular basis for maximum protection.

To pamper shoes from time to time, and to extend their life span, try TANA Style 16® for pricey designer shoes and handbags; TANA Mink Oil for outdoor boots, or TANA Shoe Cream to condition and moisturize fine leather.

The entire TANA line in newly appointed packaging is currently available at mass retailers and finer shoe stores across Canada. For specific product and pricing information, please see product fact sheet attached, or contact dvCommunications.
