Introducing Zacuto USA's Zwiss Plate

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Apr 13, 2011) - Video camera accessory mounting just got a little easier with the addition of Zacuto's Zwiss Plate to the film and video production world. The Zacuto Zwiss Plate is a multi-purpose mounting plate that allows you to mount articulating arms, 15mm rods, batteries, converter boxes and various other accessories to your camera support system.

"When Zacuto announced the release of the Zwiss Plate I knew it was the piece we needed to complete our Sony PMW-F3 package. Mounting the Zwiss Plate on the rods from the back of the camera allowed us to attach an Anton Bauer battery plate, a NanoFlash, Teradek Cube and a wireless plate. We used multiple points of connection, all of which acted as a perfect counterbalance for an F3 shoulder rig. The Zwiss Plate lives up to Zacuto's track record of top of the line engineering and I have no doubts it's going to be a valuable accessory for many years and cameras to come," says Chris Cardno, Production Manager at Visual Edge Productions.

This new accessory has plenty of 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 holes to mount anything you could imagine. Unlike other cheese plates, the Zwiss Plate is outfitted with two sets of 15mm holes spaced 60mm apart for mounting a second set of 15mm rods to the top of the Zwiss Plate if you wish to extend your rig to another level or for mounting Zamerican arms. It's also the perfect tool for mounting the new AJA Ki Pro Mini.

The Zwiss Plate is just one of 17 new Zacuto products debuting at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas this week. The NAB show runs April 9th - the 14th. If you would like to take a look at the Zwiss Plate or learn more about it, you can stop by booth C9542 at the Las Vegas Convention Center or check out our website.
