Invensys Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Industry Experts to Help Manufacturers Navigate the Challenges of Today's "Get-to-Market" Environment

PLANO, TX--(Marketwire - March 3, 2008) - Invensys Validation Technologies (IVT), a unit of Invensys Process Systems, will present methods and best practices in risk management and operational excellence for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing at the ISPE Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter Technology Show, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the RBC Center, Raleigh, North Carolina (Exhibit Booth #11). Invensys' presence at the conference will feature a presentation by Mr. Tracy Davis entitled: "Implementing a Risk Management Program for Legacy and New Manufacturing Systems Assurance - A Practical Case Study."

Mr. Davis, director of plant compliance solutions for IVT, will discuss the conversion path from historic commissioning/qualification methods to the risk-based assurance and verification approach. He will also help operational users understand the linkages between industry and compliance guidance sources such as ISPE Baselines Guides, GAMP 4 and 5, ICH Q8, Q9 and Q10, and others. The presentation is designed to help users navigate the evolution of manufacturing systems assurance that is taking place in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Mr. Davis' presentation takes advantage of his 20 years in the industry managing process development, regulatory compliance and validation initiatives in established and expanding organizations and changing environments.

In addition to participation in the ISPE Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter Technology Show program, experts from IVT will show their global capability to deliver complete validation services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. They will also share their experience and knowledge of processes and the regulatory compliance environment throughout the entire supply chain.

"Experts from our southeast office will be on hand to discuss regulatory compliance solutions for pharmaceutical and bioscience plant and business systems. These include specialists in business systems analysis, compliance and roadmaps, manufacturing and clinical compliance, and project management," said Shelley Preslar, IVT director of operations and business development and soon-to-be chair of the ISPE vendor committee.

Invensys services start with strategic consulting in subject areas such as compliance, process/cleaning development/validation and utilities/equipment validation and cold chain assurance utilizing industry leading risk-based methods. Invensys experts will also show how project management and other regulatory enterprise performance services can help operational users reduce risk, enforce global standards and accelerate speed to market.

Invensys also invites show attendees interested in pharmaceutical jobs related to process validation to visit Caroline Rioux at the IVT recruitment booth #111.

The Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter is part of ISPE, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, and the society of choice for 25,000 pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals in 90 countries around the globe.
