Investing in Performing Arts for Children in Northern Ontario

Government of Canada supports the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District


SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 10, 2014) - The Government of Canada has provided $18,000 over two years (2015-16 and 2016-17) to the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District to support its annual Over the Rainbow Children's Entertainment Series. This funding is being provided through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

Bryan Hayes, Member of Parliament (Sault Ste. Marie), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • The Over the Rainbow Children's Entertainment Series consists of presentations for young audiences in a variety of artistic disciplines, including music, dance and theatre. The performances are offered in diverse community venues such as professional theatre spaces and school auditoriums.
