Government of Canada supports 2014 River Arts Festival


DUNNVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug. 12, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $2,200 to Haldimand Art Works under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to support the 9th edition of the River Arts Festival.

The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Member of Parliament (Haldimand-Norfolk), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • The mandate of Haldimand Art Works is to provide community-based arts and fine craft education, and to be a voice for the arts in Haldimand County.
  • The group organizes the annual River Arts Festival, which takes place during the first two weeks of November in downtown Dunnville and includes art exhibits, music, children's activities, and theatre.
