Investing in the Performing Arts for Children in Haliburton

The Government of Canada supports Razzamataz Kids' Shows!


HALIBURTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 19, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $6,500 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to support the Razzamataz Kids' Shows! (RKS) presentation of their annual performing arts series for children. The 2015 edition of the series will include programming for children and families with a wide variety of performances that include music, theatre, dance and circus.

Barry Devolin, Member of Parliament (Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • Razzamataz Kids' Shows! is a volunteer organization that presents an annual series of interactive shows that target an audience of children aged 2 to 12.
  • The shows are held at the Northern Lights Performing Arts Pavilion in Haliburton.
  • RKS also offers artist-led workshops for children aged 9 to 12 in partnership with local dance schools.
