Investing in the Performing Arts for Children in Sioux Lookout

Government of Canada supports the 2015-2017 Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series for the Performing Arts


SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 13, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $12,000 in funding over two years to the Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series for the Performing Arts for their 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons. This funding is being provided through Canadian Heritage's Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

The Honourable Greg Rickford, Minister of Natural Resources, Minister for FedNor and Member of Parliament (Kenora) made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • Each year, the Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series for the Performing Arts (KKES) includes performances in a variety of arts disciplines, including various music genres, theatre and dance.
  • Performances are held at Sacred Heart School. Each year, the KKES coordinates one artist-led workshop at a local school.
