SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - May 27, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage
The Government of Canada is providing $40,000 in funding to the Fédération provinciale des Fransaskoises (FPF) for its project "Formation, information et mise en valeur des femmes francophones." This project aims to provide activities and services in French for over 300 French-speaking women in Saskatchewan and to recognize their contributions to the community.
This was announced today by Maurice Vellacott, Member of Parliament (Saskatoon-Wanuskewin), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. The Government of Canada is providing this financial support under the Community Life component of the Development of Official-Language Communities Program.

- At the Fête fransaskoise, the FPF promotes women entrepreneurs and organizes exhibitions of works by women artists and artisans, as well as musical performances and plays.
- The FPF also provides Francophone women in Saskatchewan with training in leadership and management of community organizations, including a leadership camp for girls or women.
