About the Lawsuit

Carbo Ceramics and certain of its senior executives are charged with issuing a series of materially false and misleading statements, during the Class Period, in violation of federal securities laws.

On January 26, 2012, Carbo Ceramics issued a release announcing financial results well-below guidance previously sponsored and/or endorsed by the Company, and revealed that it had experienced a 70% decline in certain product sales in the Haynesville region, and had other logistical problems. Following these reports, shares of Carbo Ceramics declined almost $17.00 per share, on heavy trading volume.
