Invincea Adds Amit Yoran and Tim Belcher to Advisory Team

RSA Senior Exec Yoran Takes Independent Board Seat; NetWitness Co-Founder Belcher Joins as Strategic Advisor

FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwired - Sep 8, 2014) - Invincea, Inc., the market leader in advanced endpoint threat protection, today announced that current RSA Senior Vice President, Amit Yoran has taken an independent seat on the Invincea Board of Directors, and former NetWitness Co-Founder and RSA CTO Tim Belcher has joined as a strategic advisor. Both bring extensive experience in developing and bringing revolutionary innovations to market, managing hyper growth and driving high value exits.

Amit and Tim will be contributing to Invincea at a time when company momentum is rapidly accelerating. Invincea products now run on over 1million user desktops, and the company added more than 200 new enterprise customers since the beginning of 2014. The company's growth is also fueled by a unique relationship with Dell, which has Invincea as a cornerstone security offering running in more than 20,000 businesses globally, to protect users from watering hole attacks, web-based drive-bys and targeted spear phish attacks. Invincea's global market presence validates Invincea as the only endpoint product in the advanced threat protection space with the capabilities and scale to protect users against zero-day exploits and targeted attacks.

"We are building a powerhouse team, which also recently nabbed COO Norm Laudermilch, that is able to attract and draw on Amit and Tim's extensive experience to capture larger market share faster in a rapidly changing advanced threat protection space," said Anup Ghosh, CEO and founder at Invincea. "Customers are frustrated with an endpoint security market that has given up on them and addressing the targeted threats they face. Amit and Tim faced a similar pessimism in network security when they had the vision to create NetWitness, and before that RipTech. We believe the frustration with out-dated endpoint security solutions, the daily headline grabbing exploits, combined with Invincea's market proven technology are fueling a major market disruption in endpoint security technology. Our large-scale OEM distribution with Dell validates this market. Adding the talent that collectively Norm, Amit, and Tim bring to Invincea, positions us for scaling to address this rapidly emerging market."

Amit has been at the forefront in driving both organizational and national security agendas. He led the development of groundbreaking innovations, most recently at NetWitness (acquired by RSA) and prior to that RipTech (acquired by Symantec). Amit also made his mark in government as one of the first Directors of the National Cyber Security Division and US-CERT at the Department of Homeland Security. He was also a founding member of the Department of Defense's Computer Emergency Response Team.

With more than 20 years in the information security industry, Tim brings an unparalleled ability to drive and sustain technology innovation. He is a well-known and internationally respected visionary that has proven success in the information security space. Apart from his role as RSA's CTO and Co-founding NetWitness and RipTech, Tim has a long and distinguished track record of designing and developing advanced security defenses for intelligence, defense, federal agencies and various Fortune 1000 companies. Tim's expertise in security product development, engineering and go-to-market strategy will assist Invincea in its path to broadening its product offering, deploying across global customer organizations and addressing an even larger market.

"The addition of Amit to the Board as an Independent Director will complement the Board's vision of this continuous steadfast path Invincea is creating in the market," said Mike Daniels, Board Chairman at Invincea. "Amit's proven track record, unique vision and expansive network, will not only help guide the company's business strategy and product development but also advance Invincea's reputation for constantly raising the bar in security."
