Invitation for Recyclers to Participate

Webinar Available for Electronics Recyclers

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 16, 2008) - On May 22, 2008, and again on May 29, 2008, Canada's first webinar for end-of-life electronics recyclers will be available.

Presented by the Electronics Stewardship Association of BC, their Program Manager, Encorp Pacific (Canada), and in conjunction with their environmental auditor SGS Systems & Services, the webinar is designed to educate electronics processors on the ESABC program and its electronics recycler standard and audit program.

ESABC is an industry led not-for-profit stewardship agency that has been approved by the Province of British Columbia to operate an end-of-life electronics take back program in the province. Residents can drop off unwanted electronics at approved Collection Sites where the products are collected free of charge for environmentally sound recycling.

The goal of this program is to ensure that the processing of materials collected at Return-It™ Electronics Collection Sites is processed according to the Recycling Vendor Qualification Program (authorized by Electronics Product Stewardship Canada www.epsc.ca), which utilizes an open standard to ensure the environmentally sound processing of products and the protection of worker health and safety.

We currently have three approved recyclers receiving our product. As the program grows and more product categories are introduced into the collection program, more processors may be necessary.
