InXpo Expands Leadership Team With Seasoned Technology Executives

New Hires to Accelerate Company's Rapid Growth as Dominant Virtual Events Industry Leader

CHICAGO, IL and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - October 16, 2009) - InXpo, the leading provider of virtual events and virtual business environments, has strengthened its executive management team to accelerate the company's rapid growth. On the heels of the company's $9 million in venture funding from Highland Capital Partners in September 2009, these new hires augment InXpo's existing team of successful serial entrepreneurs with a proven history of accelerating revenue growth, providing world class client service, and driving product excellence and innovation.

The new additions include Phil Harrell as Vice President of Sales, Bob Bahramipour as Chief Marketing Officer, and John Hegstrom as Vice President of Client Services. Phil will be based out of Boston, Massachusetts with Bob and John expanding InXpo's existing presence in San Francisco, California.

Technology Veterans Join Leading Provider of Virtual Events

Phil Harrell has joined the InXpo team as its new Vice President of Sales to accelerate the company's market dominance through a strategic focus on building channel partnerships, expanding the sales team, and capitalizing on global market opportunities. Prior to joining InXpo, Harrell spent nearly 10 years at Akamai Technologies, where he was a key contributor to Akamai's explosive growth from its pre-IPO beginnings as an early stage start up to its current position as a leading Internet company with more than $800M in revenue. Harrell launched several successful initiatives for Akamai, including leading the company's entry into the online video market, building its New York office, reorganizing its Eastern US Sales Division, and developing and expanding Akamai's second generation application acceleration business worldwide as VP of Sales, Application Performance Solutions (APS). After launching APS, Harrell was made Vice President, Channel Sales, where he spearheaded efforts to create a new class of channel partnerships to accelerate customer acquisition and growth.

Bob Bahramipour, a veteran of media, internet and technology start ups, has joined InXpo as Chief Marketing Officer to oversee all aspects of marketing, including advertising, brand awareness and product marketing, to further drive adoption for the company's virtual solutions. Bahramipour has spent his entire career overseeing product, distribution and partnerships for technology companies. As VP of Business Development at Yume, Bahramipour built the largest video advertising network as measured by Comscore and established publishing relationships with media companies such as Disney, NBC and Viacom. Previously he was a senior member of Yahoo! Search, where he managed all aspects of the toolbar business. He was instrumental in growing the business three fold and achieving the number one toolbar market share through strategic distribution deals and partnerships. Bahramipour has also held positions at various venture funded start-ups including 3721 Technology Co. Ltd. (which was successfully sold to Yahoo!) and Switchouse Inc. (which he co-founded and was successfully sold to Amazon).

To ensure that InXpo's customers successfully reach their target audiences, deliver their messages effectively, and build engaging and collaborative virtual environments, John Hegstrom has joined as Vice President of Client Services. Hegstrom is an industry veteran with experience in virtual environments, social media marketing, product management, marketing, e-commerce, CRM and client services. Prior to joining InXpo, he ran Client Services at PopularMedia where he transitioned the team from a project centric to a relationship centric focus as the company introduced a Software as a Service platform for their flagship social media marketing product. Previously, Hegstrom led a global consulting practice at Salesforce.com, launched Informatica's on-demand family of products, and led global services at Unisfair.
