Performing Artists:

-- Blind Pilot (Expunged Records)
    Hometown: Portland, OR
Well-known indie-pop band Blind Pilot is committed to a sustainable
relationship with our environment. The band did a West coast tour last
year via bicycle, hauling everything on bikes. No gas. 100% leg
-- Deastro (Ghostly International)
    Hometown: Detroit, MI
First recording his own albums at age 12, Deastro's songs can't sit
still, hopping from swoon-worthy dream pop and gonzo TV theme songs to
whisper-soft folk and crunching robot rock.
-- Deer Tick (Partisan Records)
    Hometown: Providence, RI
A rock, country, blues, grunge, and cosmic experience, Deer Tick began
in 2004 as a drums and guitar duo. Within a few years the band
developed into a quartet featuring two guitars, bass and drums and has
earned a devoted following of fans and supporters.
-- Easy Star All-Stars (Easy Star Records)
    Hometown: New York, NY
Considered a true leader in modern reggae, the Easy Star All-Stars is a
collaboration of many different artists from the Easy Star label who
have come together to cover classic records, artists, and songs. Their
record, "Dub Side of the Moon" (2003), the complete reggae re-vision of
Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon," is one of the most successful
reggae albums of the 21st century. It has spent more than five years on
Billboard's Top Reggae Chart and Reggae Catalog Chart. During their
performance at the IODA event, Easy Star All-Stars will be performing
tracks from their highly anticipated upcoming album "Easy Star's Lonely
    Dub Hearts Band."
-- J. Tillman (Western Vinyl)
    Hometown: Seattle, WA
    J. Tillman's "Vacilando Territory Blues" is his most collaborative and
dynamic effort to date. The breadth of Tillman's abilities as a
songwriter emerges on his latest album in an array of musical
personalities bound by his lyrical existential dread and economical
arrangements. J. Tillman is also the drummer for indie sweethearts The
    Fleet Foxes.
-- Marching Band (U&L Records)
    Hometown: Linköping, Sweden
Marching Band is an indie-rock band based in Linköping, Sweden. Their
critically acclaimed debut album "Spark Large" features an assortment
of instrumentation that delivers sweet atmospheric folk and indie pop.
Marching Band's music was included in the film and on the soundtrack
for the film "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist."
-- Maus Haus (Pretty Blue Presents)
    Hometown: San Francisco, CA
San Francisco indie-experimentalists Maus Haus deliver an engagingly
weird and groovy blend of experimental electronica and grungy indie
-- The Phenomenal Handclap Band (Friendly Fire Recordings)
    Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
The Phenomenal Handclap Band's sound is an anthemic, dancefloor-
oriented blend of progressive rock, disco, electro, and '60s soul with
sprinklings of hip hop-styled orchestral breakbeats and moody, synth-
heavy hooks. This band is a super group comprised of a "who's who" of
the indie rock and underground soul scenes.
-- Theresa Andersson (Basin Street Records)
    Hometown: New Orleans, LA
Recorded in her kitchen, DIY indie-pop songstress Theresa Andersson
plucked, picked and even tapped everything from violins to soda pop
bottles to create her uniquely beautiful album alongside
    songwriter/producer Tobias Froberg.
-- We Were Promised Jetpacks (Fat Cat Records)
    Hometown: Glasgow, Scotland
A hugely talented young Scottish band, We Were Promised Jetpacks
evolved from its assembly as a band in high school to a cacophonous
tour de force: louder, wilder, avidly literate; fiercely melodic, yet
    eagerly restrained.
-- Y La Bamba (GypsyPop Records)
    Hometown: Portland, OR
Y La Bamba has a haunting angelic voice. Her dark, minimalistic Mexican
inspired experimental folk songs engage the listener in a realm of
dreamy, ghostly solitude from a very old soul.
