5:15 pm The Wedding Present (Scopitones/Manifesto)

Hailed by John Peel for their rock 'n' roll love songs, seminal English indie rock band The Wedding Present has had eighteen UK Top 40 hit singles during their 23-year-long career.

4:30 pm Sean Hayes (Rare Artists)

Sean Hayes' rootsy pop-rock songs radiate a shaggy, free-spirited charm that rarely seems attached to any particular era.

3:50 pm Jason Collett (Arts & Crafts)

Broken Social Scene guitarist Jason Collett's solo material has a roots-based style, inspired by Bob Dylan and Nick Lowe, that continues to push the boundaries of the great singer-songwriter tradition.

3:20 pm Chikita Violenta (Noiselab)

Hailing from Mexico City, Chikita Violenta crafted its unique sound after North American and British indie rock acts. The band's debut album features collaborations with members of the Broken Social Scene family, including founders Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning and Justin Peroff.

2:40 pm Frightened Rabbit (Fat Cat)

Scottish band Frightened Rabbit is poised to release its second indie folk-rock album in April, which displays a progression in songwriting, sonic depth, and portrays the band as a fully realized entity.

2:00 pm Curumin (Quannum)

Samba and funk come together under Brazilian artist Curumin's tutorage. Replete with brass and percussion sections and Portuguese lyrics, fans of Tom Ze and Stevie Wonder call Curumin "funky, soulful, and entertaining."

1:30 pm Modey Lemon (Birdman)

Pittsburgh's psychedelic/sci-fi synth-rock duo Modey Lemon have an utterly unique sound that will remind you of ten different bands at once.

1:00 pm Chris Bathgate (Quite Scientific)

Having drawn comparisons to artists such as Jeff Tweedy and Will Oldham, Michigan singer-songwriter Chris Bathgate's voice has a cello-like timbre set in haunting arrangements with introspective songwriting.

12:40 pm Emily Jane White (Double Negative)

Emily Jane White's low, lilting alto may often gain comparisons to Cat Power's Chan Marshall, but this San Franciscan's dark folk songs truly shine of their own accord with subjective lyrics, ghostly melodies, and sparse arrangements.

12:10 pm Oliver Future (Fireproof Recordings)

Los Angeles-via-Austin band Oliver Future's songs range from delicate folk to chunky, psychedelic riff-rock to crooning pop, sometimes within the same song, drawing comparisons to the Walkmen and Weezer.

SPECIAL GUEST: DJ Mark Rae (Yes King)

Head of Grand Central Records and DJ/music-maker extraordinaire Mark Rae, also known as half of Rae & Christian and the newly formed Yes King, is a constant purveyor of quality music, from dancehall to techno to house.
