iPackets Creates Management and Technical Committees for Joint Venture in China

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 10, 2006 -- iPackets International, Inc. ("iPackets") (PINKSHEETS: IPKL), a global developer and provider of wireless and communications solutions for the mine-safety industry, announced today that it has created management and technical committees to guide its Chinese Joint Venture in the initial phases of operation, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and national product certification.

The management committee will be comprised of Naiel P. Kanno, President and CEO of iPackets; Sun Yulin, Chairman of Henan YongAn Investment Guarantee Co.; and Liu Wenge, Acting Director of the Energy and Safety Division of the China Coal Information Institute.

The technical committee will be comprised of Kouros Goodarzi, Vice President of Engineering at iPackets; Ara Bedrossian, iPackets Chief Technology Officer; Liu Minchao, Senior Engineer at YongAn; and Liu Zhiwen, CCII's Senior Technical Engineer.
