iPackets International to Host Senior Delegation From the Beijing-Based China Coal Information Institute

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 10, 2006 -- iPackets International, Inc. ("iPackets") (OTC: IPKL), a global developer and provider of a wide range of wireless and communications solutions for selected enterprises including the mine safety industry, is pleased to announce that it will host a senior delegation from the China Coal Information Institute ("CCII") at the company's headquarters office in Vancouver.

iPackets and CCII are collectively finalizing a distribution agreement whereby CCII will market iPackets' mine-safety solution, iPMine, to major state-owned coal mining operations in China. CCII will work very closely with iPackets' exclusive distributor in China to coordinate sales and marketing, as well as deployment strategies.

"We are very pleased with the progress of our ongoing discussions and look forward to solidifying a mutually beneficial partnership."

About the Mining and Mine Safety Industries in China

China comprises more than 280,000 mining enterprises, of which 80,000 are state-owned. In February 2005, the Chinese State Administration of Work Safety mandated US$6.3 billion to be spent over the subsequent three years to improve mine safety at all state-owned mines. The Chinese government also is offering all mining enterprises, whether state-owned or privately-owned, a 15 percent tax credit incentive to upgrade mine safety technologies.

Mine safety has been a major issue in the Chinese mining industry, with more than 6,000 miners killed in mining-related accidents in China last year; independent estimates say the real figure could be as high as 20,000.

The CCII is part of the newly-established National Institute for Occupational Safety and has played a leading role in the development of China's domestic coal industry and occupational safety.

As the strongest segment of the CCII, the Energy and Safety Division provides information support and strategic suggestions to government authorities, undertakes market investigations, and provides consulting services to Chinese and international companies to expand their business in the areas of energy, safety, environment, and information technology.
