iPerceptions Releases Automotive Industry Report Q3 2011

Voice of Customer Surveys Uncover Increasing Consumer Price Sensitivity and Longer Purchase Horizons

MONTREAL--(Marketwire - Nov 30, 2011) - iPerceptions Inc. (TSX-V: IPE), a leading provider of web-focused Voice of Customer (VoC) analytics based on actual visitor feedback, today announced the release of its Automotive Industry Report for Q3 2011. The report found that more automotive website visitors came to research price and fewer came to research vehicle features than in the previous quarter, which suggests increasing price sensitivity from buyers.

The report also found that purchase decision-making has lengthened and fewer visitors were close to making a purchase in Q3 2011. Specifically, those seeking to purchase a new vehicle in the next 3 months decreased from 34.0% in Q2 2011 to 32.8%. This decrease was accompanied by an increase in visitors who were further out in the purchase process, such as buyers looking to purchase in 6 months or more, which grew from 33.8% to 34.6%.

"The recent European dept crisis rattled U.S. consumers and likely a key factor causing the change in automotive purchasing patterns this past quarter," said Claude Guay, President and CEO of iPerceptions. "Enhanced price sensitivity and longer purchase horizons mean that automotive websites need to ensure that pricing information is communicated to visitors in a clear and concise manner. This will not only meet the needs of an important segment of visitors, but also help boost overall satisfaction for all visitors."

Data from the report shows the proportion of visitors who came to research price increased from 29.3% in Q2 2011 to 30.3% in Q3 2011. Conversely, the share of visitors who came to research features fell from 29.7% to 28.1% during the same time period.

The report analyzes real-time feedback from nearly 50,000 people visiting 20 North American automotive brand websites and nearly 6,000 people visiting 72 international automotive retail websites to identify the most important issues and trends facing the industry.

Data contained in the Automotive Industry Report for Q3 2011 represents aggregated information obtained from iPerceptions' webValidator and 4Q Suite surveys. The full report can be found on the iPerceptions website at www.iperceptions.com/resource-center.
