IPL Announces Departure of a Director

SAINT-DAMIEN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 24, 2009) - IPL Inc. (TSX:IPI.A), one of North America's leading manufacturers of plastic products, announces the resignation of Mr. Andre C. Sarasin as Director of the Company. Mr. Sarasin had been on IPL's Board of Directors since February 2003 and was also a member of the Company's Human Resources, Remuneration and Governance Committee. His resignation is effective immediately and a successor will be named within the most appropriate time frame.
