IPL Inc. Comments on Recent Trading Activity

SAINT-DAMIEN, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2009) - IPL Inc. (TSX:IPI.A) ("IPL"), one of North America's leading manufacturers of plastic products, wishes to respond to a request from market surveillance (IIROC) on behalf of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) following recent trading activity in its stock. IPL is not aware of any corporate or other developments to account for this activity. Furthermore, IPL is not presently in active discussions with any party relating to any strategic transaction.
