Ipswitch Appoints Jeffrey P. Scibilia Director of Sales for Secure Managed File Transfer Solutions

Veteran High Technology Sales and Management Professional Assumes Responsibility for Driving Growth in Company's Secure Managed File Transfer Solution Business

LEXINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 20, 2007 -- Ipswitch, Inc., a leading developer of secure managed file transfer, network monitoring, and messaging solutions, announced today that Jeffrey P. Scibilia has been named Director of Sales for Secure Managed File Transfer solutions. In his new role, Scibilia assumes responsibility for driving the company's penetration into this growing market by leading the development of a comprehensive solution selling strategy in order to provide unmatched value in the area of Secure Managed File Transfer.

Ipswitch has developed a deep market presence in this space by establishing itself early on as the leading worldwide provider of FTP solutions. "Ipswitch's WS_FTP file transfer solution is the industry's most advanced file transfer product and is the de facto standard with over 40 million users worldwide," said Gary Shottes, vice president of worldwide sales for Ipswitch. "We searched for an individual who could leverage our success with FTP into a leadership position within the Secure Managed File Transfer space. Jeff has enjoyed over twenty years of success in high technology sales and marketing by combining different elements of a vendor's technology with an innate understanding of customer business models and needs in order to create superior solutions, and that is exactly the combination we were searching for."

Prior to joining Ipswitch, Scibilia was vice president of enterprise sales at Revivio, Inc. in Lexington, Massachusetts. There, he developed a tactical sales execution model for Revivio's CPS 1200 series Continuous Data Protection solutions. Prior to Revivio, he held executive sales and management positions at industry leading technology companies, including the role of district manager for the Eastern region of HP in Burlington, Massachusetts. Throughout his 23-year career, Scibilia has increased the value of technology solutions by developing and advancing a systematic approach to solving business problems through the use of IT. He has excelled in helping customers better understand how technology can progress beyond solving immediate issues.

"Ipswitch is on an impressive growth trajectory, and has proven its value to both small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises," said Jeff Scibilia. "This is an organization truly dedicated to promoting the value of a total technology solution as opposed to simply providing a 'one-size-fits-all' answer and I look forward to leveraging their success with FTP technology into the growing market for Secure Managed File Transfer solutions."
