Ipswitch File Transfer Achieves 32% Revenue Growth

Global Customer Wins and Major Acquisition Position Company to Capitalize on Evolving MFT Integration Market in 2011

LEXINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - March 16, 2011) - Ipswitch File Transfer (FT), an innovator of high-performance integration and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions,  ended 2010 with another strong year, closing business with customers including Enterasys, European Columbus Laboratory, Leggett & Platt,, Secure EDI and the State of Michigan. The File Transfer Division achieved 32% growth in 2010, and has grown 125% or more than doubled its business over the last three years.

Demand for managed and secure file transfer capabilities continues to climb and evolve; according to industry analysts, the market is expected to double to more than $1 billion by 2014. Kicking off its 20th year in business, Ipswitch File Transfer is well-positioned to continue to outperform and capitalize on the expanding market in 2011 and beyond.

"Organizations continued to make tough choices in 2010 -- rationalizing IT portfolios, consolidating technologies, and turning existing investments into revenue drivers and differentiators," said Gary Shottes, president of Ipswitch File Transfer. "We've seen tremendous growth, even during these tough economic times, because companies are now recognizing the essential role that MFT-based integration plays in managing and securing the information that flows in and out of their companies. In 2011, MFT will be regarded as an absolute must-have as companies place a higher priority on protecting sensitive information and improving enterprise-wide compliance, visibility, reporting and management."

In addition to record sales, Ipswitch's strategic acquisition of MessageWay -- a provider of MFT and business integration solutions -- significantly changed the landscape in 2010, and resulted in the most comprehensive set of MFT integration solutions. Ipswitch's portfolio now includes: advanced analytics, multi-platform support, enterprise-wide monitoring, interoperability, and high-performance data translation and transformation -- giving customers everything they need, from a single vendor, as they move along the MFT Maturity Model

"Ipswitch really understood our needs and worked with us to implement the right solution," said Carol Sherman, director, Data Center Operations, the State of Michigan. "Using MessageWay, we now have full visibility into and enforcement of claims that must meet state compliance requirements."

Ipswitch's growth spanned multiple verticals in 2010 -- including healthcare, financial, retail and government. Enterasys, a network security provider of Siemens Corporation, the European Columbus Laboratory, a research facility located in the International Space Station, and the State of Michigan are just a few of the companies now using Ipswitch's secure and managed file transfer solutions.
