Ipswitch, Inc. Named One of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the United States by Inc. Magazine

Ipswitch Included in the Highly Competitive 2007 Inc. 5,000 List

LEXINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - Ipswitch, Inc., a leading developer of network monitoring, messaging and managed file transfer solutions, today announced that it has been named one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America by Inc. Magazine. The company, which has 153 employees, was selected for the list based on its four-year revenue growth of approximately 40 percent, with over $32 million in sales in 2006.

"We have seen an exceptionally high rate of growth for our WhatsUp Gold product, along with our FTP and messaging product lines over the past few years. This growth has been driven by major product developments and the expansion of our reseller and distribution channels in the US," said Roger Greene, CEO of Ipswitch. "Making this highly competitive list further validates the financial strength of our company and the competitive advantages our products provide our customers to equally fuel their growth and profitability."

The Inc. 5,000 list is comprised of US companies and is based on the growth percentage of gross revenue from 2003 to 2006. It offers a comprehensive look at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S. economy. For more details, please see the full list at: http://www.inc.com/inc5000/index.html.

Ipswitch's growth was largely attributed to the expansion of its worldwide distribution channels and the growing demand for its network management product, WhatsUp Gold, which is now used by more than 100 million people worldwide to quickly and efficiently monitor IT networks. Also contributing to the growth were the company's WS_FTP file transfer solution, which is currently the industry's most advanced file transfer product with over 40 million users worldwide, and its IMail Server product, an easily installed and simple-to-use messaging and collaboration solution.

Ipswitch was also recognized by Inc. for donating five percent of its profits to charitable organizations and community-investment programs.
