Ipswitch Network Management Division Adds to Their Arsenal

Wade Hundley Appointed as New Network Management Development Manager

LEXINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 11, 2009) - Ipswitch Inc.'s Network Management division today announced the appointment of Wade Hundley as their new Network Management Development Manager. Wade will manage the development team and work closely with product management and sales to help drive product strategy. He will also oversee the continuing success and development of WhatsUp Gold, their flagship network monitoring software.

Hundley's appointment will help the Network Management division continue to thrive in the industry by overseeing the development of new, innovative products, the acquisition and amalgamation of new technologies, as well as speeding up the process from development through to release.

"We hit enviable milestones in 2008 in our business model. As we looked at the increasing demands in product delivery schedule we quickly realized we needed management that had a history of managing multiple projects with stringent adherence to quality, customer specs and time demands," explained Ennio Carboni, Vice President, Network Management for Ipswitch. "We found those uncompromised leadership qualities in Wade and look forward to him building an R&D group that is world class and representative of global talent."

Hundley brings a passion for technology as well as a vast wealth of management experience and expertise with him to the division, having worked for ERDAS where he was responsible for software development. He fully understands the implementation and adoption of new technologies and easily grasps the concept of marketing data. Having worked closely with product management and sales to help drive product strategy, Hundley understands the importance of collaboration between departments and is versatile in times of crisis.

The Network Management division is extremely pleased to land a manager of Hundley's caliber. The admiration and excitement is mutual, though, as Hundley himself was quick to point out the potential in the market place, as well as the products that they have produced and aim to develop. He was also highly impressed with the team that has recently been established in the division, a combination that made his decision to join Ipswitch even easier.

"There were two very important factors that led to me joining Ipswitch," explained Wade Hundley. "The first being the company and its founder are very supportive of charities and improving the world around them. Secondly, I met many of the employees prior to joining the company and it was very evident that there is a world-class team in place at Ipswitch, which is also reflected in the products they have produced. It's an organization that I am very proud to be a part of."
