IRD Announces CAD$1.4 Million Weigh-In-Motion Contract in Wisconsin

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(CCNMatthews - April 24, 2007) - International Road Dynamics Inc. (IRD) (TSX:IRD) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Zignego Company, Inc. of Waukesha, Wisconsin to supply, install and maintain an Automated Safety and Weight Enforcement Facility. The project is valued at approximately CAD$1.4 million. Installation is expected to be completed by Sumer 2008.

The contract includes the supply and installation of Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) equipment at a Weight Enforcement Facility located on I-39 near Janesville, Wisconsin. The systems will allow prescreening of commercial trucks in the main lanes of the highway at highway speed as well as tracking and routing vehicles safely through the Weigh Station itself. Also included in the contract is maintenance, service and support of the equipment for a period of ten years.

The project is the result of IRD's commitment to increase its presence in the U.S. Commercial Vehicle Operations market, and is the continuation of previous successful installations of similar systems in Wisconsin. This project is the sixth Safety and Weight Enforcement Facility in Wisconsin to include IRD WIM Systems.

The systems will include the supply and installation of IRD's patented Single Load Cell WIM Scales, video verification system, vehicle movement compliance system, and operational software. The systems will allow trucks that meet size and weight limits to bypass the facilities at highway speeds, thereby reducing the number of trucks that are required to stop at the inspection stations. With fewer delays at the Weight Enforcement Facility, compliant carriers are able to deliver goods on time without the disadvantage of competing against overloaded carriers. The Virtual Weigh Station Systems located on nearby roadways will help detect overloaded vehicles attempting to bypass the Weight Enforcement Facility.

Mr. Terry Bergan, IRD's President and CEO stated: "We are pleased to have been awarded this new contract in Wisconsin, another example of how our US business is ramping up with the passage of legislation to fund highway infrastructure and Intelligent Transportation Systems projects across the country. We expect this aspect of our business will continue to grow as we leverage our significant installed base in the United States and strong market reputation for quality and service."
