Converted into a luxury hotel and country club in 1991, the opening of The K Club set new standards in Irish décor and service that have yet to be surpassed. Its two 18-hole championship courses include the Ryder Cup Palmer Course -- hailed among Europe's greatest courses -- and the Smurfit Course -- said to be Ireland's best inland course.
