Iron and Wine Debuts at #2 on Billboard Top 200 Chart With New Album, Kiss Each Other Clean

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 2, 2011) -  Iron and Wine's new album Kiss Each Other Clean debuts at #2 on the Billboard Charts today, released January 25th, 2011. The album, which contains 10 tracks including the album single "Tree By The River" is the band's fourth studio album and the highest debut, selling 39,217 copies to much critical praise:

With their U.S. headlining tour beginning in April 2011, Iron and Wine performed three shows last week to sold out audiences, including two nights in Los Angeles at the Wiltern, followed by a night at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. The LA Times praised the opening show, calling Beam an "excellent bandleader." In addition to being a critics show pick by the LA Weekly and NY Times, NY Post praised an earlier secret show, noting the band is "on the cusp of greatness, ready to take its place among musical elite present and past."
