These solutions -- for data processing, file processing, and extract, transform, load (ETL) -- combined with a rich feature set, empower enterprises to reliably scale their Docker-based jobs on any cloud, including hybrid environments.

Additionally, Iron.io announced Project Kratos, which will enable enterprises to run AWS Lambda functionality in any cloud provider, as well as on-premise, eliminating vendor lock-in. Iron.io is currently seeking project members, who will provide input and feedback as the project is developed. Project members will have the option of becoming beta users.

The new Iron.io solutions deliver API-driven workload management, while giving enterprises the flexibility and control to determine where they will deploy job processing and to use their existing security processes. The easy-to-deploy, industrial-strength solutions for file and data processing provide out-of-the-box microservices specific to dealing with large volumes of data in a highly concurrent model. This architecture enables batch processing to be deployed wherever the enterprise requires it, including private clouds and on-premises, as well as bursting to any cloud provider.

  • Role-based control - Most solutions today offer only a single log-in, which is often shared by numerous users. With the introduction of org chart management, Iron.io is enabling enterprises to support multiple users of the Iron.io solutions.
  • Autoscale - Continuously monitors queue sizes and ensures compute capacity is always available to meet even the most demanding spikes of enterprise workloads.
  • Professional services and training - Responding to enterprise demand to leverage Iron.io's experience building microservice architectures for job and batch processing, the company is introducing its professional services and training team.
