Is It You Using Your Credit or Debit Card? With the SmartMetric In-Card Biometric Fingerprint Scanner Only You Can Activate and Use Your Card

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 8, 2015) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) With the non relenting onslaught of credit and debit card data theft leading to billions of dollars of losses annually the need for a stronger payments card security couldn't be more compelling.

SmartMetric, after years of research and development, created a credit and debit card that has a miniature powerful fingerprint reader that is used to scan the card user's fingerprint prior to the cards payments chip being activated. No online database storage of a person's fingerprint. The biometric payments card reads the card users fingerprint that is stored inside the card in order to perform an instantaneous match with the user's fingerprint as the touch the cards surface mounted fingerprint sensor. It's simple. If it's not the authorised card user then the card will simply not work.

SmartMetric is preparing to launch the biometric payments card in North America and Europe with its first run of mass production cards expected by the end of July- beginning of August of this year. This is an exciting time for the company as we move forward into commercialising our product and solution with financial institutions from around the world reaching out to us, said today SmartMetric's President & CEO Chaya Hendrick.
