TURLOCK, CA--(Marketwired - November 09, 2016) - Visualware, a Network Application and Performance Assessment Management Company, will headline a feature presentation in the Technology Showcase at Telecom Exchange LA on November 15, 2016, at the Montage Beverly Hills. Julian Palmer, CTO of Visualware, will deliver a technical presentation on "The Importance of Accurate Network Assessment."
Cloud application services combined with IoT has truly exploded onto the corporate stage. This phenomenon has created an environment where network performance and quality defines one of the largest risks to any company's ability to trade and service its customers, and ultimately to its reputation. This is driven by immediate outcry on social media with complaints of service outages and the critical need to quickly resolve poor user experiences.
There are risks to trusting the cloud for applications that are critical to your business. Investing in a cloud strategy can make sense on paper. However, the challenge with such a strategy is losing direct control over the user experience (UX).
"User experience is key and that's why poor user experience can aggravate business-critical services. When that happens, a company's reputation can suffer," said Palmer. "The result is that any cost benefits you factored in are diminished, and this makes for unsatisfied enterprise customers -- and enterprise business is hard to win but easy to lose."
Enterprise customers usually point the finger at network service providers for poor network service in the cloud. In reality, challenges come from both directions. The application provider has no responsibility for the delivery platform that bridges the consumer private network and public network. On the other hand, the application user's organization may have the necessary IT skills but has no responsibility for the application delivery infrastructure. The dilemma of problem acceptance and resolution remains, even after the network service provider and its enterprise customers invest heavily in tools and services to monitor, measure, and assess network performance.
"The standard solution is to get more speed or bandwidth, but will it actually deliver a solution to the problem? How should the network be assessed? Is speed or quality the issue? How do you evaluate the quality of a network? Is the assessment of connection quality more important than the speed? These are key questions that I will address," said Palmer.
Network Service Providers should not miss this opportunity to better understand and enhance the user experience of their most demanding customers. Learn more -- join us at Telecom Exchange LA and win a $200 AMEX raffle gift card!
