iSirona to Sponsor Code-A-Thon Programming Challenge

iSirona to Work in Conjunction With Florida State University's Department of Computer Science

PANAMA CITY, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2012) - iSirona, a provider of simplified solutions for medical device integration, today announced that it has joined forces with the Department of Computer Science at Florida State University (FSU) to sponsor a programming challenge for FSU students. Code-A-Thon will take place from October 19 to October 21, 2012, with the winning individual or team receiving $1,500 in cash.

"Code-A-Thon will give FSU students exposure to real-world programming problems, plus it gives them the chance to showcase their skills to a thriving health IT company," says iSirona President Peter Witonsky. "iSirona is dedicated to fostering development in the Bay County community, and Code-A-Thon is a great opportunity for us to further that effort."

Interested FSU students can learn more and register online here. On October 12, iSirona will release a preview of the contest's programming tasks. At 5 pm the following Friday, October 19, registered students will be given the specific requirements of the programming challenge and the contest will begin. Students will have just over 48 hours to submit their program solution, with iSirona managing all questions through online discussion boards. All programs must be submitted by midnight CST on Sunday, October 21, 2012.

iSirona will announce the winner of the Code-A-Thon on October 26, 2012. In addition, internships may be offered to the winning individual or team.
