Islamic Masumeen Center Releases Statement on Marathon Bombing

HOPKINTON, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 24, 2013) - The Executive Committee for the Islamic Masumeen Center released the following statement this morning:

The Islamic Masumeen Center of New England strongly condemns the Boston Marathon bombings. Our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy. We pray for those who lost their lives, who have been injured, and those who have been affected by this unfortunate event.

This attack goes against the tenets of Islam which prohibits the killing of innocent people. We strongly condemn any act of terrorism as no legitimate goal can ever be attained through such means. We hope for a speedy investigation into the cause of the tragedy and bringing the perpetrators to justice under the full extent of the law.

We stand together with the people of Boston who are weathering unprecedented hardship and commend them for their resolve and courage during this difficult period. Now is a time for us to recommit ourselves to the ideals that have made our country a beacon of freedom around the world.

The Islamic Masumeen Center of New England is located at 115 Wood St., Hopkinton, MA. Their website is www.islamicmasumeen.org. For additional information please e-mail Mahmud Jafri, spokesman for the Islamic Masumeen Center of New England at msjafri@gmail.com, or call Mr. Jafri at (508) 259-9639.
