OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 14, 2014) - Following extensive campaign efforts on behalf of our future customers, iSolara is pleased to announce that the OPA has confirmed a tariff of $0.384/kWh for all new solar PV microFIT installations.

FIT price review is a regular part of the programme as the installed costs continue to decline.
The tariff will be in place until at least 2015 for all new solar PV microFIT installations. Previously installed systems will be unaffected as they will continue to generate revenue at the tariff applicable at the time of installation. This represents a minor reduction of 3.1% from the previous tariff of $0.396/kWh and as installation costs have fallen by over 50% in the last four years the return on investment to the customer is still significant.
The microFIT program started in 2009 in conjunction with the Green Energy and Green Economy Act (2009) to promote and increase renewable energy usage in Ontario. Homeowners, businesses, farms and municipalities can install a solar energy generating system of up to 10kW (40 panels) and sell back energy to the hydro provider at a fixed price for a 20 year period.
