ista North America Completes SAS 70 Type 2 Compliance

Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No.70 is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A SAS 70 Type 2 Audit validates that a service organization has completed an in-depth audit of their control activities, which include controls over information technology processes. A Type I report describes the service organization's description of controls at a specific point in time. A Type 2 report not only includes a description of controls, but also includes detailed testing of those controls over a minimum six month period.
