Company Bolsters Its Leadership Role in Energy Management Services

The company, known for its leading-edge technology, will invest $6.2 million to further advance this technology, add certified energy managers and regionalize customer support. This strategic initiative will help ista maintain its leadership position in the evolving field of Energy Management Services (EMS).

E:SO technology helps organizations leverage their existing energy investments and processes while adding a new level of control with locally installed "smart" devices in homes, businesses and multifamily properties. The core E:SO technology is an extensible service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform that enables the development of configurable and easy-to-integrate billing, metering and transaction management processes.

The addition of Certified Energy Managers (CEM) to every ista office in the U.S. is yet another component of the company's commitment to maintaining a leadership position in EMS. The designation of CEM recognizes individuals who have demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, proficiency and ethical fitness in the energy management profession. The company's CEMs are part of an elite group of only 6,000 professionals worldwide who have achieved the prestigious designation.

Regionalization of offices is the final component in ista's expansion, with offices now strategically located in San Diego, CA; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; and Atlanta, GA. Already in operational use for ista retail electric clients, the use of pods has decreased processing time and improved customer service.
