IT Channel Chief Joins Autotask Executive Team

Jay McBain Joins Autotask Corporation as Senior VP of Strategy and Market Development to Build Company's Vertical and Specialty Market Opportunities

EAST GREENBUSH, NY--(Marketwire - December 23, 2010) -  Autotask Corporation announced today that Jay McBain has joined the company as senior vice president of Strategy and Market Development, reporting to chairman and chief visionary officer, Bob Godgart. McBain is the former director of Small and Medium Business for Lenovo Americas. An accomplished author and speaker, McBain is often sought out for keynotes, industry events, and a variety of business development opportunities in the IT industry.

As the director of Small and Medium Business of Lenovo Americas, McBain's most recent accomplishment includes increasing market share by over 50 percent in 2009. He is an established keynote speaker, blogger and futurist, and often represented Lenovo and IBM across North America in key speaking engagements and traditional media outlets. McBain is also a recognized leader in leveraging social media, having expanded Lenovo's aperture to the market through unique content and messaging techniques.

During his tenure, the Canadian division enjoyed a number one ranking of all countries worldwide in Lenovo sales, including the company's most successful product launch. Additionally, McBain has won the prestigious IBM Golden Circle Award as well as the National Top Sales Contributor Award three times and was named to IBM's 100 Per Cent Club eleven consecutive times.
