itSMF Canada Announces Dates for This Year’s ’Professional Development Days’ Road Show

Four City Road Show offers IT Professionals opportunity to further their knowledge and share successes and concerns with like-minded colleagues

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 23, 2010) - The IT Service Management Forum Canada (itSMF Canada) is proud to announce that it will be running its highly successful 'Professional Development Days' road show in October this year. Now in its second year, the event provides IT professionals across Canada with the opportunity to exchange ideas and enhance their knowledge on current industry practices and hot topics.

The dates and locations are as follows:

  October 18th – Calgary, Metropolitan Convention Centre
  October 21st – Toronto, Hyatt Regency
  October 26st – Ottawa, Hampton Inn Conference Centre
  October 28th – Montreal, Palais des congres de Montreal

Under the umbrella theme "Taking Care of Business", this series of one-day events will enable IT managers to participate in seminars and workshops to help them improve the Business Value of their Services. The topics covered will include all aspects of ITSM, with specific focus on the alignment and justification of IT Services to the needs of their Business Customers. The Service Catalogue, 'the Crown Prince' of ITIL these days, will be the pivot upon which the entire session will revolve. The Service Catalogue is the focal point of the five stages of ITIL V3, Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement and Managing across the Lifecycle. Renowned industry leaders will be presenting their views on these issues – speaker information and program details will be announced by the end of April.

The cost to attend the sessions is $249 for members and $359 for non-members.
