Now in its second year, the event provides IT professionals across Canada with the opportunity to exchange ideas and enhance their knowledge on current industry practices and hot topics.

October 18th – Calgary, Metropolitan Convention Centre
October 21st – Toronto, Hyatt Regency
October 26st – Ottawa, Hampton Inn Conference Centre
October 28th – Montreal, Palais des congres de Montreal

Under the umbrella theme "Taking Care of Business", this series of one-day events will enable IT managers to participate in seminars and workshops to help them improve the Business Value of their Services. The topics covered will include all aspects of ITSM, with specific focus on the alignment and justification of IT Services to the needs of their Business Customers. The Service Catalogue, 'the Crown Prince' of ITIL these days, will be the pivot upon which the entire session will revolve. The Service Catalogue is the focal point of the five stages of ITIL V3, Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement and Managing across the Lifecycle. Renowned industry leaders will be presenting their views on these issues – speaker information and program details will be announced by the end of April.

The cost to attend the sessions is $249 for members and $359 for non-members.

Aaron Cheng, Chairman and President of itSMF Canada comments: "The Personal Development Days are highly relevant to IT professionals across all industry sectors. IT departments have been under pressure to deliver optimal business value within ever tighter budgets for some time. As we emerge from the financial crisis, it is essential that we provide efficient, effective and economical competitive value to our organizations. 'Taking Care of Business' is a perfect theme for embodying the concept of delivering VALUE to the business."
