ITA Partners With CompTIA on TechVoice Initiative

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jun 22, 2012) -  The Illinois Technology Association is proud to announce its involvement in TechVoice, a partnership of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA), and participating regional technology associations.

CompTIA launched the TechVoice brand to tap into the thousands of small and medium sized tech companies that lack representation in Washington, D.C. and at the state and local level. TechVoice is dedicated to empowering and mobilizing the grassroots tech community to impact legislative and regulatory issues important to growth, innovation, and job creation.

"We look forward to working closely with CompTIA on the TechVoice initiative," said Fred Hoch, ITA president. "In keeping with the Illinois Technology Association's mission of growing and uniting Illinois' growing technology community, it is vital to implement a positive advocacy program to bring the voices of the local industry to the national level."

In an effort to impact legislative and regulatory issues important to the growth of the Illinois technology ecosystem, the ITA, in partnership with TechVoice, will serve as a key advocator. Through a series of networking events and TechVoice chapter meetings, the ITA and TechVoice will create opportunities to bring business leaders together with policymakers, to develop a local network for companies to address the ongoing tech policy agenda.
