BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 31, 2012) - Canada's premium pasta manufacturer Italpasta Limited announces today that they have passed the SQF 2000 - Level 2 audit for both manufacturing and warehouse/distribution centre facilities. SQF 2000 certification allows food safety and quality systems to be verified and validated throughout the food chain, increasing brand protection, consumer confidence and loyalty. SQF is recognized by retailers, foodservice providers and regulatory agencies around the world that require HACCP food safety and quality management systems by their suppliers.

Joe Vitale, Founder, Italpasta Limited stated, "I am extremely proud of our recent SQF certification and want to commend the entire Italpasta team for their hard work and dedication to once again proving that Italpasta is a premium manufacturer of pasta here in Canada with a strong commitment to food safety programs."

"SQF 2000 is a food safety certification program which is recognized worldwide. Certifications to schemes benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Innitiative are being requested more and more frequently by our customers." says Frank DeMichino, Chief Operating Officer, Italpasta Limited. "With our recent SQF 2000-Level 2 certification, we are further demonstrating our steadfast commitment to food safety and quality - not only in our manufacturing facility but also in our warehouse/distribution centre.
