Kamloops resident San Hua will be cutting down his work hours after discovering he won the May 16^th $2 million BC/49 jackpot.

The 44 year old cook purchased the winning ticket on Monday morning at Hasty Market on 8^th Street in Kamloops. "I used the same special numbers I've been playing for the past year," said Hua.

"I checked my ticket this morning at the Check-A-Ticket. The lady at the Market said there was a winner in Kamloops, but I didn't tell her I won. They've known me for a long time, but they don't know I won yet…when they get the picture of me, they'll know!" he joked.

Hua says at first he thought he'd won $210.00, but he checked the machine a couple more times before realizing it was $2,010,125.00: "I just left the store with a big smile on my face. I was so excited and phoned my brother right away so he could drive me to BCLC. Tonight will be a big celebration!"

Hua says he will put his winnings in the bank first, but plans to buy a new house in Kamloops and take a vacation with his family overseas.

He is also going to be reducing his work hours to part-time.
