[itvt] Returns to New York City With Its Second Annual TV of Tomorrow NYC Intensive Event

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2011) - InteractiveTV Today, [itvt], the most widely read and trusted news source on multiplatform interactive and social TV, today announced that due to high demand its TV of Tomorrow (TVOT) show is returning to New York City. TVOT NYC Intensive will provide broadcasters, operators, advertisers, agencies and other stakeholders with a venue to discuss and debate some of the industry's most pressing topics. The event's sponsors include Canoe Ventures, the advanced television joint venture of the nation's leading cable operators. TVOT NYC Intensive will take place at 730 Third Avenue in New York City on December 5, 2011.

TVOT NYC Intensive is a highly focused, dialog-driven, one-day event focused on bringing together all parties involved in enabling and delivering an interactive and advanced TV-viewing experience to consumers. More than 100 experts in fields including pay-TV, advertising, network television, consumer electronics, TV technology, and social media will come together to engage in a productive exchange of ideas aimed to better the TV experience as we know it.

"Television remains the ultimate medium, but it will only continue to be the best by evolving to meet changing viewer expectations and by providing business stakeholders with new and more powerful solutions," said Kathy Timko, Chief Executive Officer of Canoe Ventures. "TVOT NYC Intensive is aptly named as it provides a unique opportunity for all of televisions' many constituents to come together in spirited discussion of its future, pushing the boundaries of TV ever farther."

TVOT NYC Intensive will feature keynote presentations from such luminaries as Alan Murray, deputy managing editor and executive editor of online at the Wall Street Journal, and Anthony Rose, hailed by WIRED magazine as "the man who saved the BBC."

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear breaking news and see live demonstrations from some of the industry's most innovative technology providers. In addition, the event will feature an exhibit of television-related artwork, and, beginning at 6pm ET, attendees will be invited to join [itvt]'s first-ever holiday cocktail party.

"TVOT is six years going and our momentum couldn't be stronger. We've dramatically expanded our presence on both coasts, increasing our attendance and participation year over year. It's been an amazing ride," said Tracy Swedlow, founder of [itvt]. "Our first event in NYC last year received only one complaint -- 'we want more!' -- so we're doing our best to remedy that situation. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!"
