Iwatsu Voice Networks' Release of New QuadFusion™ Technology Proves Successful

IRVING, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 3, 2005 -- Iwatsu Voice Networks, a leading business communications manufacturer and developer, has found success with the QuadFusion™ technology implemented in all of its Enterprise Communications Server (ECS) systems.

QuadFusion™ technology is a hybrid design available exclusively in the Enterprise-CS that merges Time Division Multiplexed, Voice over Internet Protocol, Session Initiated Protocol and H.323 data traffic onto one platform. All this is accomplished without requiring external servers. This allows small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) to retain their TDM resources while VoIP, SIP and H.323 resources are deployed where they are most needed. The key feature of this design is the ability to run any combination of these four protocols simultaneously.

The Enterprise-CS is a cost effective business telephony solution scaling to 1024 ports. ROI is provided in a matter of months by cost-effectively converging voice and data traffic for more efficient bandwidth usage, requiring less dedicated hardware and eliminating dedicated circuits. Its modular design enables users to grow system capacity and add new features as their communications requirements expand. Flexible backward compatibility also enables the Enterprise-CS to integrate with any Iwatsu ADIX system ever manufactured, which provides significant cost-savings and ROI for existing ADIX system users.

"The QuadFusion™ technology embedded in the Enterprise-CS allows a great deal of freedom for SMBs in today's market," says David Carissimi, President of Iwatsu Voice Networks. "The ability to easily integrate new technology as a business grows is at the core of our design, ensuring the Enterprise-CS will not suffer the pitfalls of obsolescence," Carissimi explains.

Among the supporters of this new technology is the Pittsburg, PA, Catholic Diocese (4th largest in the USA) who recently installed a nine-site Enterprise-CS network with 400 stations. Also utilizing the new system is Panalpina, a leading provider of intercontinental airfreight and seafreight forwarding and transportation. Panalpina is installing Enterprise-CS to support 330 digital telephones, 20 IP telephones, and 30 Omegatrek wireless handsets in Houston, TX. Family MedCenters of Derby, KS, are utilizing the benefits of QuadFusion™ technology as well, networking six sites in an IP campus configuration with 200 digital, IP, and wireless telephones.

Enterprise-CS also provides the following additional competitive features:

-- Supports multiple voice, data and video protocols to integrate with
applications such as Windows® Messenger and Windows® NetMeeting

-- Unified communications allows one-stop access to all email, fax and
voice messages from an email client, cell phone or PDA

-- Text-to-speech technology provides users with access to email messages
    via a cell phone

-- Voice-activated automated attendant allows speech-enabled call routing

-- Remote workers can access the network and communicate with in-office
    features from anywhere worldwide

-- Simplified Network Management Protocol (SNMP) enables network
administrators to remotely manage network performance

-- Supports wireless in-building roaming across the network allowing
users to access system features and communicate via Omegatrek wireless
    handsets
